Marcin Kautsch M.Sc., Ph.D., a lecturer and researcher at the Jagiellonian University Medical College, and a project coordinator for Poland of the EcoQUIP Plus “Collaborative Innovation Procurement Action to Improve the Efficiency, Quality and Sustainability of Healthcare” and P4H: “Procurers for Health” projects funded by the European Commission. In the past Marcin participated as in many training, research and consultancy programmes including, among others: Harvard & Jagiellonian Consortium for Health (healthcare system reform), EPP eHealth, EcoQUIP, LCB Healthcare projects (innovative procurement), LdV Project “Developing European Leadership Through Action-learning in Healthcare”, “RES-Hospitals: Towards zero carbon hospitals with renewable energy systems”, “LEPHIE: Leaders for European Public Health project”, and other projects (like COST actions). Marcin has been a non-exec member of hospital boards (currently of the Krakow University Hospital). He was a board member of the European Health Management Association. He has extensive research experience. He is an editor and author of healthcare management publications. Apart from his academic career, he works as a consultant for health care units and local authorities in the field of public health, healthcare management and innovative procurement. He also provides training programmes for healthcare managers.
