Hrvoje Belani

Hrvoje Belani acts as a head of Sector for Information Systems Implementation and Improvement at the Directorate for e-Health in the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia. He is experienced software engineer, ICT expert and project manager in e-health, representing Croatia in eHealth Network, as well as various international, EU-funded projects, like epSOS, INCA, EXPAND and ASSESS CT. He is a member of eHealth Security Experts Group within ENISA and a full member of HL7 Croatia and Croatian Medical Informatics Society. He gained his Master of Science degree in electrical engineering, majoring in telecommunications and informatics, from University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. He has finished Academy for Political Development of the Council of Europe, the United Nations (UN) Academy and Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) Executive Education. He is also an adjunct senior lecturer at VERN’ University of Applied Sciences in Zagreb, Croatia, teaching IT project management and information systems security, as well as an adjunct associate at the School of Medicine, University of Zagreb, Zagreb, Croatia, teaching medical informatics at postgraduate specialist study of epidemiology.
