Dr. Hesham Abdelghaffar is a Senior Executive, Consultant, Serial Entrepreneur, Investor, and University Professor with extensive experience in IT, Healthcare, and management of hyper-growth companies. He has over 25 years of experience leading Healthtech businesses in the Middle East and North Africa region, during which he founded and built three successful tech ventures in the US, Egypt, and KSA. He is the founding member of HTTT_MENA, a think tank that discusses new ideas and disruptive business models in Healthtech.
Dr. Abdelghaffar is the Founder and Senior Partner at MenaGurus, a 100M angel investment group that specializes in funding Tech startups in the MENA region. He was also the Executive Vice President and Regional Managing Director of the Middle East and Africa for Wadhwani Foundation, a California-based US foundation that supports entrepreneurship and skills development.
As a University professor with 10+ years of teaching experience, he is currently heading the Health Administration and Informatic Technology program at the College of Applied Health Science Technology in MUST university, Cairo, Egypt and is an Adjunct Professor of management at the American University in Cairo (AUC). He is a frequent consultant, coach, and mentor to top executives and entrepreneurs in various MENA and African countries, and a frequent public speaker with appearances in major entrepreneurship, healthcare, Telecom & CIT conferences.
