Why MBA?

The MBA is a practical postgraduate program aimed at improving the leadership and management competencies of individuals who already hold or aspire to managerial positions. Management is a discipline of science and practice thanks to which companies and institutions use the resources at their disposal more effectively.

The healthcare sector, struggling with the unsolvable problem of constant growth in demand and limited resources, requires excellent management. Every healthcare manager should demonstrate an MBA qualification and even consider repeating the MBA program. 17% of the Collegium Prometricum MBA students (2020-2022 edition) already had an MBA diploma or PhD degree.

“The hospital is altogether the most complex human organization ever devised”

—Peter Drucker.

Why MBA in Healthcare?

Due to the specificity of healthcare, many management methods and tools proven in other industries do not bring the results expected. Induced demand, moral hazard, a high degree of autonomy of key employees – these are just some of the reasons why managing a medical entity or institution requires specific knowledge and experience. In healthcare, more clients do not always mean better results. More profit does not always mean a better service. Leadership, marketing, finance, HR, and innovations in healthcare often mean something different than described in standard management manuals and require separate understanding. For years, our expert Collegium Prometricum lecturers have been contributing to the search for effective management solutions for the healthcare sector, gaining a deeper understanding of its specificity and complexity.
