Jacek Michalak MD, PhD, retired physician, active lecturer at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Medical University of Łodź.
Graduated in 1975, Faculty of Medicine, Academy of Medicine in Łódź. 1975-86 assistant in Department of Histology and Embryology (experimental and developmental hematology) and physician in the Institute of Pediatrics (specialty in pediatrics). 1986-90 pediatrician in primary care facility, 1991-93 deputy director of the department and City Doctor in the Department of Public Health, City Office of Lodz (specialty in healthcare organization), 1993-2003 adjunct at Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine (specialty in occupational medicine, Postgraduate School of Public Health) 2003-2008 – director of the Department of Integration with UE at Medical University of Łódź. 2004 – till now – lecturer and senior lecturer, Faculty of Health Sciences (specialty in public health).
Practical experience in medicine: different posts – in emergency medicine, pediatric hospital, private practice in pediatrics, occupational medicine facilities.
Additional information – international co-operation with WHO, UE, Senior Medical Advisor – Unilever Poland (1999-2007)
